Statement from the Artist:
Let me begin by saying that I am not a vegetarian. I believe as many of the North American Indigenous Peoples believe: That there is no greater sacrifice that an animal can make than to give its life so that I, so that we all, may live. However, in today’s over-populated world of consumerism, the way in which animals are raised and killed is simply 'nightmarish,' like something out of a gruesome horror flick. Some food corporations are attempting to build models that will place the health and well being of the animals FIRST, and will slaughter them in a quick and very humane way in conditions that are clean, safe, and nearly painless. Some of the links that you see below are VERY difficult to watch and to read about, but are necessary so that we all can see just how far beyond ourselves we as human beings have strayed. Far too many care little if nothing at all for the earth and its creatures. It has come time to reverse that trend...
